Theatrical Rigging involves moving loads over the heads of the general public. Like any other system of moving equipment, operation by untrained operators can be dangerous.

Anyone operating theatrical rigging must be trained in the operation of the equipment and be authorized to use the equipment. This site contains information on how to design for safety, how to operate equipment, where to get training, and new products that can reduce accidents.

There’s a great deal of information on theatrical rigging safety available on this site. Please let us know if you have questions or suggestions.
